    SD is good to start with but your background is more of a Supply Chain Management/ Logistics so you can either do SAP SCM or core Logistics modules SD + MM (IM+WM)both.

    Dear all
    I am Vishal and i have done BE in IT and then MBA and having 3 years of experience in Marketing, can anyone please suggest me which module is suitable for me, Many people suggest me for SAP SD but as i heard that SAP SD is not having that much vacancy and when SAP certification is done we have face the problem of getting placed as we consider as a fresher.

    Please suggest me the proper guidance.

      Hi Vishal.

      My suggestion would be don’t go for certification. I did my certification in feb 2012 and It took me 5 months to get a job, that too testing in SAP. We don’t do certification to get a Testing job.

      I am working at a CMM level 5 company, 2nd only to TCS in India. My colleagues are not certified, only graduates, and at same level as me. So my MBA + 2.5 yrs of work exp is all waste here.

      If you want to get into SAP, go to a local institute learn the implementation first. They normally help you with placements as well (at times by showing fake exp. – but that’s how 95%+ of sap population enters this line). All companies openly accept that they do have people with fake exp.

      That’s my opinion, but its upto you, how you want to carve your future. I dint have anybody to guide me so just went for it blindly. SD/CRM – both are ok . CRM is difficult but more scope.

    Hello
    I am planning to Join SAP ABAP Course from an SAP authorized training center. I went to them, got information. I asked them that i’ll join the course in next week and also submit the fees in next week. But due to some urgent work in my ofiice (I am a SOftware Professional working in IT company) my company send me outstation (on Client Location) for 2 weeks. I informed to SAP center about this. After two days they called me and asked me “WE have initiated your registration process and you have to submit the fee (which is approx 1.80 lack) within two days. and if you did not submit the fee your registration will be cancelled and you won’t be able to re-register in next 8 to 12 months.” I asked them why they started the process without my permission even they didn’t informed me about this. I want to know that is there any rule in SAP Education like this. Please suggest. i want to know are they saying truth or just making resons so that i submit the fee ASAP.

      Hi,

      They are lying with you. You can take online training at anytime and do the registration at any day no need to pay registration fee in advance. If any one pay the registration fee in advance can refund full amount if he/she is not willing to join taring. no one can cancel your registration. If some one is doing this you can take legal action against them.

    Hi All,

    I am certified SAP Consultant and working with MNC.

    If any one want to do SAP Certification please go through SAP AG site. In India there are many SAP associate institute like ATOS (Siemens), JKT, Genoval, NIIT, who offer certification in various module with two type of training program 1. Online. 2. Class Room.

    For Online the fee around 2.2 lac and for class room fee is around 3.75lac. Class room program is for those who don’t have any knowledge in SAP. those having knowledge in SAP on their respective area can join Online Course. but before joining any authorized training institute take a month training in any local institute. Don’t pay more then 20k try to settle in 10k. you can find local institute almost every city in India just Google it. do not take any online training if you do not know more about SAP. For certification you have to only read and memorize the SAP Course material nothing else.The certification Path is little difficult but anyone can do it with the determination.

    Without certification getting JOB in SAP chances is very little (5%) so do not think that you take training from any local institute and get a job, never trust on any local institute lucrative offer or training cum placement offer.

    dear mentor,

    My name is Rakesh and I would appreciate if you could help me in selecting a right course in SAP. I have been working in the banking and finance industry since last 10 years and currently placed at one of the top uk banks as a relationship manager. I have done hard core sales in my early years of my career but now a days I am more into relationship management. I just want to get out of the banking and want to make career in SAP. Couple of people suggested me to go with SAP FICO and some have suggested me to go with SAP S&D so I am really confused and don’t really know where to divert the attention.

    Would really appreciate if you could help me in selecting the right module in sap please.

    My spouse ,working as a Regional Sales Manager for Retail/Personal Banking with 9 Years of experience in Sales for a reputed Multinational Bank. He has BE and MBA degrees. Now he wants to switch his career from banking to SAP. Is this advisable at this point of his career? If so, is SAP SD or SAP CRM the right module for him. Kindly advice.
