I found your document really interesting, now we're working in a project with multi-level configurable materials and we want to use type matching to decrease time to deliver some specific configurations with materials-to stock. The only trouble we have is that the component materials in the super bom are configurable too, and when we create the order to stock these items are defined as "N" (non stock item category) and phantom item.
Thanks,

Hi Jiteshdua,

Do you have any suggestions week of 12/10 or 12/17 to an ABAP resource and a Config resource:

Brief overview of Variant Configuration components with Type Matching to be used in SD Orders

Actually construct the components and config for a simple, 3 subcomponent Super BOM (with no dependencies)

Actually construct some simple Variant Pricing on the 3 subcomponents.

Actually construct Type Matching that will derive a unique SKU from the specific Subcomponent choices made

Demonstrate the transactions used to define and configure the Super BOM

Demonstrate the Ordering of this Super BOM and how to produce a Production Order/Purchase Order from it.

The Sample Super BOM will be a custom product, derived from these 3 subcomponents:

Width (of stock) – choices are finite (6 inch, 8 inch or 10 inch)

Length – choice is finite (any size up to 200 inches)

Grit - choices are finite (80 grit, 120 grit or 200 grit)

Any assistance as to applicable experience that would fit this requirement is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Lisa
